THE PREMIER AT AUCKLAND.
PARLIAMENT TO MEET IN JUNE,
(Per Preaa Association.)
AUCKLAND, this day. Sir Joseph Ward arrived this morning by train from Wellington. He had enthusiastic greetings at townships en route. Interviewed, he stated that nothing could be said about the conference to be held to discuss Cabinet reconstruction, beyond that it would take place in Wellington on March 21. The members of the combined Liberal and Labor party would meet at his house for the purpose of selecting a leader. Then would come Cabinet reconstruction, but the personnel of the Ministry was as much an uncertainty as the name of the leader. A suggestion that Parliament would meet again in April Sir Joseph Ward described as absurd, and not in accord with the constitutional aspect of the question. Parliament would mot meet till the end of June.
