Kettle and the New Zealand, Loan and ; Mercantile-. Agency Co., litd„ had a small entry of store cattle. Most of the cattle yarded . were of a poor quality, for wliich there 'was very 'little demand. The sales Avere: Two heifers. £3.105, 1 cow and calf S3 18»,6U, 1 Hieev,.£4 175... 3- ditto fig, 3 dairy heifers .£3 10s, 1 Jersey heifer £4 7b 6d, 2 springing heifers £4, 1 cow 30s. Messrs Dalgety and Co; and Common, Shelton and Co. had a fair yarding of cattle, nnd as there .were very few. ■ buyers , waited for the store cattle' to be offered. The following lines sold' readily: 3 cows £5 15s, 3 calves £1 »s, 13 heifers £3, 7 steers £3 6s, 11 steers £2 Is, 8 heifers £2- Is, 8 steers £3, <T calves £1 18h, 31 weaners 345.
