THE NAPIER BURGLARY.
AN EXTRAORDINARY SEQUEL,
(Per Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. An extraordinary sequel to the robbery from the • Corporation strong-room m September last of between £500 and £600 is reported. Some time ago a small parcel of the stolen sum was found hidden aAvay amongst old records m the strong-room, and this morning two workmen discovered the remainder planted under the Corporation office amongst - lumber. The police are still without a clue as to the perpetrator of " th^ burglary. By a curious coincidence Uhe find was made on the day Avhen I Donaldson, a- y°uth formerly employed r by the Council, and who was acquitted 'on' a charge of stealing money, is stand- ' ing trial for the alleged theft of Rugby > Union funds.
