CHINESE AND THE GRAND LLAMA.
SHANGHAI, February 28. News of the wholesale slaughter of Thibetans by the Chinese is contained m despatches received from the north. -'Jt is reported that the Chinese m Thibet-, fearing that the return of the Grand Llama would be the signal for a massacre of foreigners, decided to anticipate matters. They sallied forth, and slaughtered all the Thibetans along the border, not sparing the women and children. ,
