Tarawera, Wednesday, January 31. The Union S.S. Co.'s Monowai arrived from South early this morning, and sailed later m the forenoon for Tokomaru Bay . and Auckland. She will return to Gisborne on Sunday afternoon. The Union S.S. Co.'s Haupiri left Picton yesterday afternoon for Napier, and is .flue at this port on Friday, when she will come up to the wharf. She is due to leave again for Coast bays and Auckland on Friday evening. The Union S.S. Oo.'s Squall, which left Gisborne on Monday evening, is timed to leave Auckland again on Thursday evening, arriving m Gisborne via Tolaga Bay on Saturday. She will take a full load of sheep from here ' for Whangarei, subsequently returning from that port to Auckland. The Union S.S. Co.'s Kowhai, having left Dunedin, worked Oamaru and Timaru yesterday, and was due •to leave Lyttelton to-day for Napier. She is expected to arrive m Gis borne on Saturday morning, and to return to ; Greymouth on Monday with a full cargo of cattle. Messrs Richardson and Co.'s Koutunui completed the discharge of her cargo here yesterday afternoon, and left port again for Auck y - ■ •arid, calling at Tolaga Bay and Tokomaru Bay en route. The Huddart-Parker Co.'s Wimmera arrives from Auckland this, afternoon, and sails this evening for Southern ports. She will be tendered on arrival, and with outward passengers at 7 p.m. The Anglo-Mexican, a cargo vessel of 4796 tons, is fixed to load at Auckland . from the 18th to the 25th inst., and afterwards at Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington. The Union Co.'s Waipori was to go into dock to-day as the result of having bumped against something when coming past Quarantine Island on Saturday week from Hobart, via the Bluff. An examination by a diver revealed the fact that one of her places had been dented on the starboard bow, but as there was no leak she was allowed to proceed to Timaru and Wellington, and is to be docked at Lyttelton for further examination and overhaul before proceeding.. to Australia. Captain W. Mcßride, of the Union Company's service, well known as master m the Island trade, has resigned- his position m order to take up a shore position at Tahiti.
