Britannia's the pride of the ocean, The home of the brave and tho free; The shrine of the sailor's devotion — No land can compare unto three. Thy mandates make heroes assemble, With victory's bright laurels in view; Thy banners make tyranny tremble When borne by the Red, White and Blue. I And Scotia's the land' of the pibroch, I The land of Sir Walter and Burns; Her hilis are tlie stronghold of freedom, A rainpivrfc that tyranny spurns; 'Twos Scotland that held 'mong her treasures ■ Tho stone on which Jacob of yore, Had pillowed his weary head a-ureaming Ofearth with Heaven linked and war no more And Erin's the land of the Shamrock, , The land of O'Connell and Burke; Of light hearts from Dublin to Limerick, From Londonderry ' overland to Cork ; Her sons are the essence of valor, - Her daughters 'of- virtue and grace; '" The statesman, -tho -soldier, saint and scholar • To Erin's Isle acknowledge birthplace. Zealandia's the flower of her daughters, The youngest and fairest of all; Our home's far, away o'er the waters, But with her we stand or we -fall. Our Dreadnoughts we'll build to defend her. lir dangers by land or by sea; Our sons crying / n Ake, no surrender," Shall conquer or- lie in death with thee. Australia's- oiir dutiful sister, ■ ' The land of tho fleece and tho gold, Whose lancers have marched to assist her On Soudan's plains or Afric's rocky mold; Canada's snows have not frozen The warmth of her sons' crimson tide; Her flag with Newfoundland's interwoven, In Britain's wars shall flutter "side by side. And India's the homo of a maiden, With eyes of the diamond and pearl, And robings of glory; and laden With Nature's gifts, for nature loves her well ; Her brothers have tasted tho battle, Havo stormed, with our Highlanders true, Have charged in the face of cannons' rattle, Ahd honored the Red, White and Blue. Orangia :At -Uine_\ has been naughty, Has stood with her back to tho wall; And Transvaal, alas! has been haughty . And caused much concern to us all;* But • like mother whose children may .wander, Allured by the tempter's decoy, Returning, her lnother heart grqws fonder, Forgets the past in fulness of jov.
