POUREWA- CASE: The provisions are as . follows: To give effect . to .the recommendations of the Chief Judge under section 28 of the Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1910. The Native Land. Court' is authorised and directed to inquire and detei'mine whether any persons .who claim to be entitled- 'to-hre admitted -as;mvners of Pourewa Island, m the Gisborne Native land district,, ha.ye been omitted from the original title, although entitled to be included/ therein, to declare; such persons to be part ownera of the said land, a.nd to amend the title by adding the names of such persons, substituting if necessary the proper representatives of such as are dead, ;with power to . the Court, if it thinks fit, to cancel or amend any orders ihade' subsequent to the date of the originial title.
