The membership of the Caroline Bay Association, Timaru now- totals considerably over s_o, and great progress is being made with the comprehensive scheme of improvements to ■ popularise the bay and the town. The north mole, which extends 'some 300 yards into the beach, is being transformed into a promenade and planted with shrubs and provided with seating accommodation. A" Series of al fresco 'entertainments, m which some professional pei'foriners will take part, will, be commenced at an early date for the purpose of helping to make tho bay popular.
