Thii evening will witness a most abundant display of first-grade animated pictuies. Tho lustre that is claimed for tbe programme is not solely attributable to on or two salient numbers, but the whole , series is conspicuous for its uniform excellence. The title of the 'number is. "Back to the Primitive." and no other words could more adequately describe its purport. The strong heroic soul of "Enoch Arden," as readers of Lord Tennyson know it, is tho subject of another film, the beauty ot which must be seen m order to be fully appreciated, likewise tbe "Cardinal's Edict" is a story which combinss tho natural and the 'spectacular m a charming manner. It relates an incident "connected with the decree against duelling issued by a Parisian Cardinal some '200. years ago. | Tho l.vycv of the Cardinal's ward, under extreme provocation, \ disregards this decree, and is caught red-handed. The j manner m which he extricates himself from the embarassing position into which he has thrust himself is attended by a display of daring and vigor that must call forth admiration. Of singular significance m this country at the present time, a depiction entitled "Fighting Blood" serves to show that military training is a, thing of untold value.
