AUCKLAND, this day. The body of the boy Kennedy, who • w.ts drowned while battling in the Wai- j kato river on Saturday, has been found ! on a sandbank about tliree miles below j Huntiy. DUNEDIN, this day. An inquest was held yesterday on the body of Jonathan Mcl'lvoy, who died at Nas'eby Hospital on the- previous morning. The evidence showed that deceased was a, native of Liverpool, where he leaves a wife and son. He was formerly a master mariner, but lately had been engaged on a. sheep station in Otago, repairing horse covers and harness. He was about 60 years of age, and was J addicted to drink. Medical evidence was to the effect that deceased died from pneumonia, aggravated by exposure and drink, and a verdict to that .liect was returned. Au inquest was held yesterday on the body of Charles Avers, who died on i'uesday in consequence of injuries received through failing off a .ladder, in Hudson's biscuit factory on September 21. The medical evidence showed that deceased made good progress until the 17th inst. Iwo days later he was operated on, and complications were found, rendering it necessary to cut out apiece of bowel.
