YOUNG DUDLEY FOUND.

A WEEK WITHOUT FOOD

! Cecil Dudley, who had been missing ' t from Ngaruawahia, for ten days, was found on Sunday at noon by Kohi Takaro and James Boyd out at Kuhu, six miles west of Huntly, whilst out pighunting, Takaro'a dog scenting the missing man. When found young Dudley was m a very exhausted state, lying amongst fern. He was able to speak, but only m an incoherent manner. Steps were at once taken to carry him to the nearest house, four miles away. Once m open country, he was able to walk; with assistance, to Mr William Smith's residonce, which was reached about . 5 p.m. Constable Rock was sent for, and he returned m company, with Dr Lowe and Mr and Mrs Ball (brother-in-law and sister), who had boon out with the searcii party all day. Dr Lowe, on examination, found that the patient was pretty well .exhausted, and gave it his opinion tluit he had had no food, having evidently subsisted on water. He must have lain the best part of last week m the bush, as he was last seen on Monday week about four miles from where lie was found. Dr Dudley ai rived at Huntly to make arrangements for his brother's removal.
