KAITI GIRLS' COLLEGE.
ANNUAL BAZAAR
There was much pleasurable, excitement amongst the numerous pupils of tho Kaiti Girls' College (Mrs Balfour Ogilvie) this afternoon, on the occasion of the annual bazaar, a function towards the success of which the young folk have been working for some time past. Last year the proceeds of the bazaar were donated towards the Maori Church Fund, and on this occasion the money will go towards the funds for the rebuilding of the Hukarere Girls School. Tho baztar was organised entirely by the pupils, who with their parents provided a wealth of articles for the three wel'-laden stalls. Much of the organ isation also t fell upon Miss Mueller M.A., senior governoss. Tho genera' stall was presided over by a number of the girls of the sixth form, tho swee^ stall by the fifth form, and the dolls stall by the fourth form. The remaining girls of the sixth form wero neatly at tired a-s Geisha girls, and dispensed afternoon tea. The Rev. F. W. Chatterton, m declaring the bazaar open, congratulated the pupils upon the success of their efforts, and referred m commendable terms to tho praiseworthy object to which the funds were to be donated. The rev gentleman added that it was a goor thing to see one school assisting another particularly when the other school wa a native school. The bazaar was attended by man* parents and friends.
