At the Supreme Court this afternoon the case of J. "VY. "Somervell, O. V. Somervell, and E. E. Somervell v. Thos. Utting, claim £350 damages, was proI ceeded with. The Palmerston Times reports that Mr W. J. Fraser, son of Mr Angus Fraser, of Shag Point, has received a lucrative appointment Avith a gold dredging company at Mollendo (Peru^. Mr Fraser sails for Monte Video by the Corinthic on the 23rd inst. The annual meeting of {he Chamber of Commerce will be held to-night. After the business lias been disposed of, the annual dinner will take place, the toast-list being as follows: — "The King," proposed by the Chairman; "Commerce and Industries of East Coast," proposed by Mr W.
