PEACE PROPOSALS.
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph.— Copyright.) OTTAWA, March 211 Sir Wilfrid Laurier warmly supports the Anglo-American arbitration proposals. He eulogised Sir Edward Grey's speech and said that he looks to the future for the realisation of peace and the union of the English-speaking peoples. \' (Received March 22, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, March 21. The Catholic Bishops of Sal ford and Nottingham and Fattier Bernard Vaugban applaud the proposals of President Taft and Sir Edward Grey. Cardinal' Logue, Avhilst desiring universal peace, said that he had no confidence m the movement while millions were screwed from the poor to build Dreadnoughts. He was not hopeful that President Taft and Sir Edward Grey would conclude a treaty before better relations Avith Germany were established and the Irish question settled.
