WAIAPU REQUIREMENTS.
MR MACDONALD INTERVIEWED.
(Special to the Herald.) WAIPIRO, thU day. At the request of the Chairman of the Waiapu County Council, Mr K. S. Williams, the member for the Bay of Plonty, has promised to make representations to the Postmaster-General to ' have acetylene gas installed at the Waipiro post-office. HARBOR ENDOWMENT. Mr Williams also asked that the Mirt* ister for Lands Be approached regarding the grant of an endowment to the Tokomaru Harbor Board for the improvement of the harbor of Tokomaru Bay. Mr Williams pointed out that Waiapu was not possessed of any endowment for harbor purposes, the only harbor endowment m their county be longing to the Gisborne Harbor Board. Mr Mac Donald said he had already brought the matter before the Minister for Lands m connection with a certain block, .which the chairman had suggested, some time ago, but he InwT not received any definite reply. He. promised to ngain place, tho matter before the Minister for Lands.. .
