Notwithstanding that the pitch has been covered with matting for several davs, there promises to be a bowler's wicket to-morrow for the test match. The only change probable 'in the South African team from the Adelaide match is the substitution of Pearsc for Ha- . (horn. UNITED v. Y.M.C.A. This match, which was played on the Domain yesterday afternoon, produced Rome big scoring, and resulted in a draw. With four wickets down for 220 United declared, (libson Was in capital form, and played a fine inuiiigs for 106 (not out). Mamie' (58) and Coles (37) Were the other inain contributors. V.M.C.A. made, a good start, and about* 110 was shown on the board before . the first wicket fell. When stumps were drawn the score stood at . 181 for four wickets.
