(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The brilliancy prize offered by the Hon. J. A, Millar at the recent championship chess tourney at Timaru has been awarded to the Rev. C. E. Fox, who represented Norfolk Island. * [Mr Fox is an old Gisborne boy.] DUNEDIN, this day. In banco. to-day Mr Justice Williams decided that a brewer's notice regarding liquor sent into no-license districts must be forwarded simultaneouajy, or practically simultaneously, with the sale and delivery of. the liquor. The matter was brought before the judge expressly to get a ruling so as to settle the practice m South Otago, where magistrates have various views, and Mr Bartholomew recently convicted Whittingham, a brewer, for a delay of two days. The judge upheld the conviction. This is a new, decision. ... .
