Tcliiple on to M. Nelson, who raced over the line, but was smothered, and no try allowed. After the ball had been kicked 'olf again, there were a few scrums and scrambles; one '.of the Tologa backs picked up, and after i\ passing bout M. Nelson gained possession, .and crossed the line, but with bad luck was again smothered. / Tologa again pressed Mangatuna, when J. Hart picked up , and after a good run passed to T. Temple, who crossed the line, but lost the ball. Mangatuna now livened up, and the ball was kicked into Tolaga's 25, but was gradually worked back, G. Temple picked up, and after a brilliant run scored. Maioho failed to convert. Tologa 3. .After half-time Mangatuna took up attack, making the game open, but the Tologa forwards worked the ball back; again. The two Lincoln's, H. Nelson, and Ryan were the most prominent of the Tologa pack, whilst T. Furness, Wati, and .1. Hale were the pick of the visiting pack. The play now was pretty even till he whisle sounded no side, leaving Tologa vicorious. Mr •G. Williams controlled the game, while Calligan and G. King held the line flags. The Mangatuna Seniors are a promising team, but thare is one great fault that was very noticeable m last Saturday's match, and that is two of their players appealing to the referee from the time the game started until it ended. ' which is not a good example to young players.
