Miller (V.M.C.A.), wing three-quarter:' One of last year's touring team. ' Has played with great dash' this- season, but is inclined to take too- much upon himself and should get rid of the ball quicker. Very heady player, and makes no mistakes, opens up- the game, and when his side is attacked can be relied on 10 giv.e relief, a splendid kick. An acquisition to the team, and should be captain. 11. Tocker (Kaiti-City), wing: Another of last year's reps., and played m this position several times during the tr.ur. He acquits himself well. A good sewer, and takes advantage of every opportunity,, but fails to pass at the critical moment. Safe m defence, and finds the line well. J. Nicolas (Kaiti-City): Represented Poverty Bay for several seasons. A' Sturdy player"; good dribbler; revels m the rouglv stuff. Russell (V.M.C.A.): A hard grafter. Always on the ball. Well deserves his place. Plays the game. Inclined to get off-side through over-anxionsness. ' B. Lowe (Kaiti-City): Always prominent. Like Nicolas has represented the district on previous occasions. A dangerous man when near the opponents' line. Inclined at times to be over' vigorous. . Paul (V.M.P.): A stalwart player,, good lock, not often conspicuous; but gets, through a lot of work. Uses his weight to advantage, an-1 holds the scrum together well. ■. A. R. Gatland (United) : A . forward possessing great pace, which he uses, at every opportunity. Follows well, good on the line out, and can be looked upon to do his share. .• P. Kokiri (V.M.P.): A young* pos' essing plenty of dash. On the hall from start to finish. Good place kick. Gets through a lot of work; likely scorer. ' . P. Turei (V.M.P.): A- former rep: was picked for the Maori touring tenm« but could not get away. Splendid m the open. A great worker, and continually on the baU; seldom misses smothering an opponent; but has tendency to play off-side. The members of the team must, assemble at Bright street hall at 7.30 to-night for practice.
