King George, through the Earl of Northampton,, has intimated that ho will never forget the numerous proofs of friendship and affection his father had received from the French, for whom ho had so much sympathy. He added that he was animated with tho same feelings, I and it would be keen satisfaction to him if the entente cordialo continued and increased. President Falliercs replied that iv> effort .would bo spared to maintain and strengthen the cordial relations existing at present between the two nations.
