Tho recent valuations made m tbo boroughi by the Town Clark (Mr R. DB. Robinson) total £111,000, a bUßstantiial inciieasc on all previous years. Despito th.ii fnot, as already mentioned, only five objections jntvo been lodged against- the recent assessments, tlunee of •which are m connection with large buildings m th^ town, the other two being m respect to small yallotments. Thiis is iin indication that tho Town Clerk's valuations have met with general appro val. A sitting- of the Assessment Court will b 0 held before Mr W. A. Barton S.M., on April 4, to hear tho objections.
