CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The match was resumed m fine weather. Theiie was a strong wind blowing across the track. The wicket rolled out fast. Armstrong and Warne resumed the Australian innings, O'liff opening* to 'Armstrong-, and Haddoh bo)vling at the other end. The batsmen opened confidently, and gave a pretty display of running between the wickets • foi- singles. With the score at 224 Ol'iff bowled Armstrong. 224—5—72. Tfie bowling was gqod.
