THE PREMIER AT HASTINGS.
I (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Sir Joseph and Lady Ward spent a quiet day yesterday as the guests of Mr Donnelly. In the afternoon they motored to Mr Bernard Chambers' residence, where they visited the extensive vineyards and cellars. This morning was occupied m receiving deputations. The Premier promised to endeavor to amend tho railway time-table m tlie., direction of the earlier arrival of the express at this end, also to provide facilities for the quicker, transport of fruit to Wellington and. Masterton. The weather is delightful. The town is decorated with bunting, and visitors are arriving for the opening> of the post office at 3 o'clock. The Premier gives a political address this evening.
