Rain fell through the night at Cambridge, Wanganui, and Bluff, whilst Taupo and Blenheim reported heavy rain m the night. STATE OF TRE SKA. Russell reported this morning a moderate sea, -Tint-in a moderate swell, I£ast Cape a moderate sea, Gisborne smooth.. Napier moderate, Castlepoint heavy. Cape Campbell smooth, Kaikbura considerable, Timaru smooth, Port- Chalmers heavy swell, Nuggets moderate sea, Bluff -smooth. Gape Maria, reported smooth, Gape Egmont and Farewell Spit \ moderate, and Cape Foulwind smooth seas. WEATHER FORECAST. The Government Meteorologist forecasted to-day : "Northerly moderate to strong; expect showery and changeable weather ; expect warm and humid conditions; glass fall slowly ; 'tides good; sen moderate."
