The Union Co.'s Squall left last evening with tlie full tide for Ma ratten fcoint and .Whangarei with a shipment of sheep. On discharge she returns to Auckland. „ Tlie Union »S.S. Co.'s Waikare arrives from South early to-morrow morning and leaves later for Auckland. Th» Tuatea leaves the wharf at 6 a.m. # and 9.30 a.m. The Union S.S. Co.'s Talune is due back fronu Auckland to-morrow afternoon and -will sail again during the evening for Southern ports. The Tiuitea leaves the wharf on arrival and at 7 p.m. The Union S.S. Co.'s Flora arrived m Auckland last evening at 6.15 from Gis- 1 borne via Coast ports. She is expected to leave again on Thursday, for Coast ports, Gisborhe, Napier and Wellington. Messrs Richardson and Co/s Fanny returned to Napier last evening with a general cargo. t The scow Alert has crossed, over the river and will load a return cargo for^ Auckland from the Gisborue Sheepfarmers' Frozen Meat Company. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Co.'s Karoro Was placed on. the rfip last evening for overmml. . The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.'s Tainui is still loading frozen meat m the roadstead 1 . She will probably hot get away until Thursday for Wellington. The Union S.S. Company, agents- for the C. aJid A.. I'oyal Mail line, have received notification that excursions to Banff and back to New Zealand, inclusive of ruijway expenses, will bo run. The excusidns ' will be limited, and intending passengers should book early. Tlie connecting steamer will be the twin-screw Marama, (643T|rtoi]fi), law ing Sydney on July 5 for Vancouver. The next steamer -wil] : be the" twin-screw Makura (8075 tons); leaving Sydney on August 2. The return fare from Gisborne will be £67 ss. / The auxiliary schooner Waiapu' arrived, this morning from Aiickla.nd, via- Coast ports, with a. general car,?o. Very fair -weather w»s experienced all tho way down. The following passengers luive booked by the Waikare for Auckland : Misses Colebrook, W. Ste*lc, McDonald (2), KuTse Willia.ms ; Mesdames Marshall, Hill and 2 children, Robertson and son ; Messrs Shepherd, R. B. Scott, and Woodroffe.
