OVERSEA STEAMERS.

The Union 00.'.s Waikare arrives from Auckland to-morrow afternoon, proceeding on her Southern trip during the evening. The Tuatea leaves the wharf oiii arrival and at 5 p.m. The Tyaer Co.'s Mimiro finished loading frozen meat last evening, and sailed for Wanganui. The Westport Coal Go's Regulus arrived from Wtestport early this morning with 500 tons of coal for the local branch. Owing to the river being sitted up aftar the recent fresh, it was deemed advisable to lighter 200 tons this morning. Messrs Richardson' and Co.'s Fanny returned to Napier last evening. Tlie Union Co.'s Squall is expected to leave Auckland at 5. o'clock this evening for Tolagai and Gisborne with u general cargo, and she should arrive, here on Mondny afternoon. The Union Co.'s Maitai, which is to take up tho Monowai'-a running whilst that steamer is undergoing overhaul, will not leave Dunedin until ■Sunday, instead of Friday, and consequently she. .will be late. An effort i« being made, however, to huriy her along; she will arrive in Napier on Wednesday morning/ and it is probable will arrive hero that evening, leaving later on for Auckland. The Maoriland Steamship Co.'s s.s. Holmdale is due from Greymouth on Monday with * coal. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Coy. are agents for the steamer. At Port Ahuriri a. short time, ago a rope became entwined round the main mast of the .steamer Fanny, and the mast was snapped off. There , was much speculation amoivjst people on the wharf yesterday as to how the steamer had lost her mast. ' '
