The Hon. Jas. Carroll has received a reply from 'Mr R. McNab, ex-Minister for Lands, stating that he would likje to accept the invitation to come to Gisborne and deliver an address on- defence matters, but unfortunately he had already made 25 appointments. He, would, however, wire next Week arid advise hoiv it could be done with the least i*icri lice of time, having made an appointment at Hastings, y ... . ' !
