Doyle (Secretary). It, was decided to grant tjhe Ixxdies 1 Hockey Club the use of the ground on Thursdny, June 3rd, and to postpone the competition ; to. the following^ Thursday. ': It vz&3 resolved to aqcept tlie afßliatjon of the newly-formed Kin. Kaha Club, and to exempt the old club from pay--ment of the affiliation fee. ' The annual report and balance-sheet ■of the New Zealand Hockey Association was received, together with a copy of tjie new rule, as vfoUows : ''A phCyer of the attacking team shall have a hit from any poiiit. on the goal line he may choose, arra 1 at tho moment of such hit ull the defending team (their sticks and feet) must be behind their own goal line ;.. also all the /attacking team must •be outside the striking circle m the. field of: play. Provided: that no player shall stand within live ynrds of the striker When a penalty corner hit is taken, find that no penalty corner hit shall be taken at -a less distance than five yards from the nearest goal -post, and tjhat no goal can be scored from a. corner hit by the attacking team • unless the ball has been .stopped motionless on the ground by one of the attacking team, or has touched the person or stick of one of the dtefending team before the last stroke of the attacking team. A player hitting a penalty corner hit «nnnot participate m the/ game again until the ball has been played by another player. On hitting a penalty corner hit, if the hitter miss the ball, he shall take the hit again, provided he does not contravene rule 13."
