A band of Irish Guards serenaded Lord a,nd Lady Roberts at the breakfast m honor of their golden wedding. Hundreds of congratulations were received from all parts of the world. Lord Roberts, now 76 years of age, married Norv Henrietta, daughter of Captain Bews. His only son was killed "during the South African War. Lord Roberts's heir is his daughter, Lady AileenMary Roberts # to whom the Peerage will pass. .' .
