On the owner ''cx i aminiiig them he called the Chief Inspectors attention to the consignment, and \obtained the • return of the 400, witli the result that, 812 Avere- seized as unfit for ffood, being mainly m a Avasted and emaciated condition. The sheep bore the folloAving label: "Seized by consigners. We desire this meat sold. Fit' for human corisumptipn." \lt '.is pointed put that such a label has/been regarded as a certificate of official inspection at the time, of slaughter.
