A DRILL HALL DESTROYED.
(Per Press Association.) " DUNEDIN, this day. The Voluriteers' drill hall at Owaki was destroyed by fire on Saturday. The buildting, M'hieh also includted a billiard romp and two other rooms, was totally destroyed, also re3reation material and a quantity, of clothing, etc. . belonging io the 'Owaka Bifles. The lire is supposed to havo been, caused bj r sparks from a railway engine blowing, underneath, the hallA where coeoartut mattirig was stored. The building was insured for £260, the billiard table for £30, and the clothing for £200, a- total of £480, all in the State Fire office. The loss is estimated at double the insurancp.
