At the weekly meeting of the above, held m. the Royal hotel last evening, tho Gisborne Ladies' .Club was granted the use .of the . ground to-morrow ; from about- 3.30, : after the men's match.,* The City ' Football Club requested 'that hockey be commenced earlier to-morrj>w' as several of their players were m the hockey team.— Decided that only one match be splayed, commencing at 2.20. The New Zealand Association wrote re the visit of an. English team '.to New Zealand next year, and asking the Association if it could guarantee £50.—Rei ply to be sent stating that the tion at present was unable to do. so. The action of the President, m appointing Mr W. Schmidt delegate to the New Zealand Association was con-' i firmed. • . . The KiaKalia Club's appeal, to the New Zealand Association was held over until Mr Olsen, the referee, returned." It was announced that the handsome shield made by Messrs ' Grundy and Shennan and Mr H. J. Grieve was completed. It was decided that a £1 levy be made on each Club m part payment for the shield, and tliat a letter of thanks be sent to the makers. Mr Bushnell was appointed referee m the match between West. End and * Kia Kaha. to-morrow afternoon. It was decided. to write to the Hawke's Bay Association, asking that a return representative match be played here on Saturday, the 12th inst.
