Answering questions. Ministers state that an arrangement will be made for suitable trials of the automatic voting machine at local elections. The final selection of the designs received for the Dominion coat of arms -will bo made Avithin tAvo months. The report of the electrification of the Christchurch -Lyttelton railway Avas presented to the *HiHJ?e to-day. All who have been railway employes for five years are to be placed ou the permanent staff.
