ATTACK ON JUDGE SIM.
v (Special to Herald.) WELLINGTON, last night. The Wellington Cooks and Waiters' Union last night unanimously resolved to endorse the resolutions passed by the Canterbury Trades and Labor Council urging the removal of Mr Justice Sim from: the presidency of the Arbitration Court, and asking support for the petition of the Canterbury Farm Laborers' Union for Mr Justice Sim's removal. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. At a meeting of the Ashburton branch of the Political Labor League the following resolution was carried : "Tliat in view of the decision of the Arbitration Court on the" farm laborers' dispute this league strongly supports' the petition having for its object the removal of Judge Sim as president of the; Court." : At a meeting of the Lyttelton stevedores' union tlie following) resolution Was passed : "That this union, seeing that Mr Justice Sim has refused the farm laborers of Canterbury an award of the ;Court, and being convinced that such a 'decision could only have been come to after a complete disregard of the facts; ipfoved in evidence, and by an unreasonable and invincible bias against the work-i ( 'ers, demands the immediate removal of Mr Justice Sim from the . Arbitration | ,Court Bench, and further this nwiion desires to express its strong conviction fthat actions manifesting such ineptitude j jand weakness as are to be found in the 'decision made, •constitute a. grave menace ;to the industrial welfare of the Doiminion." - DUNEDIN, this day.. | Tho Labor Dennrtinent intends taking ;proceeding.g against the truckers "at Kaitangiita mine 'for committing a breach of ; award by coming-out ori strike. ' ' • Tlie fellmongers dispute has been set;,tled in ' conference by the .patties, and Ithe agreement has been 'forwarded to the •Arbitration Court to ftiake an award. The only alteration made' is in connection with the method, of payment.
