The manager of the local branch received word last evening that the Talune has been withdrawn from the East : Coast service to enter the Eastern Pacific trade, and, the e.s. Navua will be despatched from Auckland in her place. The Union S.S. Co.'s Navua will not leave Auckland until to-morrow, and ia due here about 9 on Thursday morning, and will continue her voyage to southern ports later. Tlie Union S.S. Co's Rakanoa left Newcastle ,on Sunday for Auckland, Gisborne, and' Napier, with a cargo of coal, and is. expected at an early date. The Union S.S.
