PAKARAE SHOOTING CASE.
Miss Pctersen, the victim of Tuesday's sensational shooting affair at Pakarac, passed a very good night last night, and this morning was reported to be in a very much improved condition. Dr Collins proceeded to Pakarae again this morning.to dress the wounds; and should: the patient's present satisfactory progress continue, will return witli Dr Reeve, this evening. It is the present intention of the medical gentleinen to have the young lady carefully nursed until she is able to be. moved into toWn, where 'the second .operation* for the ek-' traction of the bullet from the base of the skull will be undertaken. To do this it will be necessary to perform tracheotomy, adminster chloroform through the windpipe, and operate through the roof of the mouth.
