With the return of fine weather the attendance was larger than has been the case for some weeks pa.v v and a considerably amount of business was put through. , . Sheep.— Oar entry comprised 4634, of which we sold 3052. There was aia excellent demand for fat. sheep.,-' which also formed* a considerable 'entry..;- Good lines of ewes and young stock' met with brisk competition., -aged ewes suffering considerably m demand. The snle, however, may be considered a satisfactory one. Following are ■ the day's quotations : 2-tooth wetliers 12s, fat wetliers 14s 3d to 15s, cull ewes 6s 4d to 6s 6d, five year old ewes 9s to 1C» 6d, whilst a really good line made 11s lOtl, 2-tooth ewes 12s f fat ewes (light) 10s- .6d to Its, better sorts 12s 7d to 13s 9d, at whiclfc latter in-ice we w>ld a ;. ■draft frcjn Mr J. D. Burgess's Hungarpa, ' property. Shorn lambs (medium) made 6s, lambs m wool (a. good line) 9s. Pigs.— We had a .small e.ntiy. '\ Our next sale will he held on Tlutrsday. 16th inst, for which, we have already a ; considerable entry, including 2000 prime 2-tooth wethers-, which will well repay inspection.
