Your committee has made a very thorough inspection, and have heard nothing but the highest praise from the patients in all of the wards as to the attention they are receiving from the whole staff. Nothing in the nature of a complaint was received. There are no very acute cases at present, and on the date of our last visit, two days ago, there was only one fever patient in bed. The grounds and outbuildings are in good order, except that the cow bails and shed require a little fixing up. Your committee has not been able to settle anything definite with regard to fire plant. We have had an interview with Mr Townley, but think it better to have the

matter brought up again to-night." The committee, as mentioned elsewhere, also reported upon the need for more accommodation for the nursing staff. The question of fire protection was referred to the incoming committee to attend to, the committee consisting of Messrs A. F. Matthews and VV. D. S. MacDonald.
