POSTHUMOUS DANCES OF BEETHOVEN. ' BERLIN. October 28. The Berliner Tageblatt states that Messrs Breitkopf and ; Hartel- the Leipzig firm.of music publishers, -will shortly issue eleven new dances l>y ■ :Beethoven, including four waltzes, five minuets* and two Tyrolese slow waltzes. The > manuscripts were found m the archives of the Thomas School ■at Lei pi • zig. They had hitherto been regarded as the production of -ah andnynious composer,.and as v showing symptoms oi Weberls work.; Investigations nave, however,- shown them to ;be orchestrated dances, written;, by Beethoven- m 1819 for some -friends who had formed a ■musical society m the Viennese ,? suburb, of Moedjing.
