(To the Editor of tbe Herald.) Sir,— The fact that there was no tote betting on tbe Feilddng and Takapuna j meetings shows that the new Act lias J fairly justified itself already. As to the position (between the 'bookies ami the racing clubs, they may. be left to fight their own 'battles, each beinc- well able to do that.
