MODEL BURIAL.
BERLIN, Sept. 23. An exhibiton m connection with the Congress of Hygiene, opened ta-day, comprises appliances for cremation. Among the exhibtis are the ashes of a girl, occupying one-quarter of a small glass bottle, and consisting of thin white flakes like crumpled paj>er. A model burial place has been designed by Professor Meyer for his family, who are still alive and well. Graceful urns stand m. niches, surrounded by palms, flowers, and moss. . A model crematorium is operated by a volunteer doctor. The corpse is let down on to a miniature railway, which conveys it to an. oven. Instruments for recovering the a.shes look like gigantic fish knives and sugar tongs. Colored sashes denote the languages spoken by the various delegates — yellow for English, blue for Fi'ench. The mknbers will take "strolls" through the cKv. the rendezvous being indicated by boys holding red flags.
