COLLIERY DISPUTE.

SYDNEY, Nov. 7. In connection with, the miners' demands, the colliery proprietors have prepared a statement of wages earned at the principal colleries, Newcastle and Maitlarid districts, for the past six months. At 21 pits the daily wages ranged from 10s to 16s, averaging 13s. One colliery ranged from 16s to 33s lOd. An increase of fourpence in the hewing rate will mean an additional fourteen pence per day. By closing the Burwood and Lambton pits over 500 men have been rendered idle.
