DIED AFTER HIS SERMON.
TKAGIC 'CLOSE TO A VICAR'S THIRTY YEARSJ SERVICES. LONDON, Sept. 13. lhe Rev. Alfred Love, "who has been vicar of St. Paul's, Greenwich, for the past thirty years, fell dead immediately after the service on Sunday evening. Mr Love had been m failing health for some time past, and- although feeling indisposed attended both services yesterday. In tke evening during the service- lie spent most of the :. time m the vestry, but, insisted upon preaching the sermon, which he f ' did ''with great impressiveness. When leaving the church Mr Love fell j to the ground ' m an unconscious state. He was carried to the vicarage, where it was found that life avos extinct.
The text of \Mr Lovers last sermon was taken from the xlii. Psalm, 2nd verse: "My sour thirsieth for- God. " for' the living God. When shall I come %md appear before God?"
