He suggested that a commencement might be made with the Cathedral building here m 1910. He urg. Ed that the clergy should be allowed to enjoy the general prosperity of the country by a an increase m their stipends. The Otago University receives a substantial benefaction under the will of the late Mr Arthur Beverley. '
