Plymouth. 48 Oimstchuich... 39 Wanganui... 47 Timaru- ... 43 Wellington 45 'Oamaru. ... 38 Blenheim... 37 Dunedin .... 46 Nelson ... 38 Invercargill^ ... 38 Captain Edwin forecasted this morning : "Strong south-easterly winds; glass rise, • but probably fall after 12 hours;' tides high ; sea considerable ; rain probable." _3ast Cape reported: ' South, fresh breeze ; barometer 29.98, thermometer 46 ; rain; high tides, moderate sea. S.W. and N.W. breezes prevailed, m the colony to-day, and the weather 1 was generally gloomy. The sea was rough at Cape Campbell, smooth to moderate elsewhere.
