In illustration of the danger of delay a speaker at a meeting of. the Manawatu County Council said that some years ago he telegraphed to the Government pointing out that an expenditure of £20 would prevent further, damage at Bulls Etotective work. Later he had to raise is estimate to £50, and then to £100 as the damage progressed without moving the Department to action, and at last the repair of the work cost the Government over £520.
