The Fire Brigade meet for practice tomorrow evening. The tug Nautilus came off the slip this afternoon. . Our Parliamentary reporter telegraphs that the Government nominees to the Gisborne Harbor Board, Messrs Clark, Matthewson, and „ievwright, have been reappointed. A telephone bureau lias been opened on the premises of Mr J. T. >Cassidy at Te . Karaka. The. hours of attendance will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m* and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (two long rings) < The weekly practice of the Harmonic Society will be held on Thursday next instead bf to-night, as the room is otherwise engaged. A full attendance of members is requested, aq it is the intention of the Society to give the "May Queen" within tbe next fortnight if possible. .
