WAIKOHU ROAD BOARD.
The annuel meeting of the Waikohu Road Board was held on Saturday afternoon. Present: Messrs Telford, Brown, Gibson, Manuel, aud Poynter, also Colonel Winter. . •** Mr Telford was unanimously elected Chairman for the ensuing year.. Mr P. J. Sefton was re-elected •jeer.-' tary. ,
Kanaekanae bridge: Colonel Winter handed m the following tenders for the construction „f the Kanaekanae bridge : Jas. Brown £2578 7s, C. McLean «and Co. £3380, J. A. Nicol £2620 4b, P. McLoughlm £2590 Is 7d ()r>r. if lanah be substituted for ironbark, £2510 Os 4d), J." Hamilton £2799 16s. W. Woolf £3014 15s lOd, G. Fraser £3452 19s, M. Johnston £3551 16s 4d, J. Somervell &5410 9s 6d'.«— lt was decided to accept Mr P.' McLoughlin's tender for £2510 Os 4d, jarrah timber to be used.
Ordinary business was transacted as follows: — Messrs Bousfield and Stevenson Avrote asking that lopa road drains and water-tables be attended to. — Mr Brown was authorised to attend to the matter.
It avus resolved to call tenders for cleaning out drains on Waihora road from school corner to mam drain.
