Following are- the Customs dues collected at Gisborno for the month closing today :— Spirits £1456 12s 10d,. cigars and cigarettes £149*158 3d, tobacco £388 8s 3d, wine. £112 16b lid, beer £193 3s, sugar £268 6s Bd, goods by weight £99 7s 3d, goods ad valorem £597 3s 3d, other duties £23 16s 2d, total £3289 9s 6d. For December, 1905. the total was £2265 sfl. sd. For the December quarter, 1 1906, the returns totalled £9526 12* 2d, as. compared with £7721 10s lOd m the corresponding quarter of 1905. The total for the. year 1906 is £35,643 6s 6d, as compared with £30,282 5s m 1905, and £13,418 m 1900.
