WELLINGTON, this -day. Ihe victims oi the drowning accident at Evans' Bay ori Saturday, g. Kay, aged 17, and Wilham Stockton 15, had got into a flat bottom punt, which drifted off shore. The lads attempted to swim ashore, but after [swimming some distance both sank. Several boats went to the scene of the accident, but the bodies were not recovered for ( fifty minutes later. Efforts to resuscitate were unavailing. The punt .was a derelict, with one side knocked out. parehts of the lads reside at Kilbiroie. At tin inquest' a verdict of accidental death jras returned.
